The Flinders is built for the cook who takes it seriously — the Sunday roast, the weekly meal prep, the knife that deserves a surface worthy of it. End grain construction means your blade meets the wood between the fibres, not across them. Your knives stay sharper, longer. The board lasts a lifetime.

Each block is handcrafted in small batches in Ballarat, Victoria from select-grade Tasmanian Blackwood and Victorian Ash — two of Australia's finest native timbers. No two blocks are identical. The contrast of dark Blackwood against pale Ash is as much art as it is function.

Why end grain?

End grain is the gold standard of butcher's blocks for a reason. It's self-healing — the wood fibres close back after each cut. It's gentler on your knives. And it only gets better with age and use.
