A piece of Tasmanian Blackwood is selected — its grain checked, its weight considered. Then it's cut, joined, sanded, and finished by hand. A few days later, it becomes a board that will sit on someone's kitchen bench for the next 20 years.

That's what we do at Board Meets Food. We make the serious chopping and serving boards from the finest hardwood timbers.

We're a small batch timber kitchenware brand based in Ballarat, Victoria. Every board we make is handcrafted from premium Australian timbers — Tasmanian Blackwood and Victorian Ash — using food-safe adhesives and finishes.
